The Oakland Zoo held the grand opening for the first phase of their new $70M California Trail expansion in June 2017. Visitors can now ride the gondola up the hill above the zoo to enjoy a meal along with sweeping vistas of the Bay Area. Designing the Visitor Center, Landing Café, and the exhibits has been an amazing journey. We look forward to the opening of the California Trail animal exhibits in Summer 2018.
