UCSF School of Medicine Human Development and Embryonic Stem Cell Research Center (HSE 16)*

University of California, San Francisco - Parnassus campus

The careful development of this laboratory responded to the regulations governing stem cell research in 2004 that strictly segregated privately funded research from federally funded research. The challenge was to design labs that were separate and self-sufficient using an approach of redundancy in all rooms to protect the integrity of each program while actively planning for adaptability in the future.
