Noll & Tam is pleased to announce our collaboration with LEVER Architecture to renovate the historic North Portland Library and the Albina Library in Portland, OR. With a focus on community engagement and equity, our team looks forward to expanding our expertise with public library projects and deepening our connections to communities throughout the West Coast. Guided by the successful execution of the environmentally innovative Hayward Library and Community Learning Center project and the Half Moon Bay Library, an AIA/ALA Library Building Award recipient, the process will include a significant community engagement process. This is of particular importance given the highly diverse communities these libraries serve, and our drive to ensure all users feel a sense of belonging, empowerment, and joy. Honoring the historic significance of the existing buildings while utilizing new technologies such as mass timber, the libraries will not only be beautiful and inclusive, but also resilient and sustainable.
