Kaiser Redwood City Labor & Delivery Expansion
As part of our ongoing work with Kaiser Permanente, Noll & Tam designed an expansion of the Labor and Delivery department at the new Redwood City Medical Center. We created four additional LDRP rooms by reconfiguring and relocating hospital support spaces along the south corridor, to meet increased demand in this service area. Located on the fourth floor, the project required careful phasing and thoughtful construction techniques to limit disruption to hospital operations. The reconfigured floor opened with the new LDRP rooms, new on-call rooms, new staff restrooms/lockers, a lactation room for employee use, and hospital-based specialist offices.
