Oscar’s curiosity for design and love of community-based architecture led him straight to Noll & Tam. When he’s not immersed in architectural challenges, Oscar channels his creative energy into hands-on craftsmanship. He started with a simple birdhouse, gradually moved on to building benches and gates, and is always cooking up new DIY endeavors. “They’re meant to be seen from a distance,” he jokes, but that never stops him from pushing his skills further. Weekends often find him tending his garden, grabbing a coffee and bagel, or hiking around Lake Chabot, soaking in the morning’s optimism.
Travel also plays a huge role in Oscar’s life. He’s ventured through Europe, Asia, and Latin America, each time bringing home a meaningful memento that captures the essence of the places he’s explored. These journeys inspire his thinking about urban design, architecture, and placemaking, as he studies how local customs, climates, materials, and spatial solutions shape each destination. It’s this spirit of curiosity and discovery that fuels Oscar’s commitment to creating environments where communities can truly thrive.
