Sometimes, the success of a design can be gauged by both human and otter enjoyment. In collaboration with PJA Architects, Noll & Tam completed a conceptual design for a new North American River Otter habitat and exhibit at CuriOdyssey, a science and wildlife learning center in San Mateo. This attraction can house up to six river otters in a comfortable environment that allows visitors to get up close to watch the otters at play. The structure features a rammed earth wall that is in keeping with the natural look and feel of this science playground and zoo.
