Achieve Academy, Oakland

Noll & Tam worked with Overaa Construction on a design-build project to construct a new two-story classroom building for Achieve Academy, a charter school in the Fruitvale District of Oakland, on a site owned by Oakland Unified School District. The new building includes 22 standard classrooms overlooking a redesigned playground and field. In addition to the main building, our team relocated a number of modular buildings to another location on the site and provided a space for the Early Childhood Education program. Our design for the building captures the spirit of the existing campus with its interactive outdoor hallways and stair features, vibrant elevator tower murals, and wall friezes, enhancing the sense of community and belonging to convey that “All Are Welcome Here.”
